Billie Joe May, 90, passed away Saturday November 19, 2016. Bill was born April 12, 1926 in Fort Worth Texas, to Joseph Sterling May and Willie Ruth Andrews. He attended Castlebury, North Side High School, Texas Christian University, and University of Texas at Arlington. He served in World War II in the Navy and after, married Virginia Wallace.

He taught at Technical High School and worked for Bell Helicopter Textron 1952 - 1989. His community service included Keller Volunteer Fire Chief, Keller City Secretary, and 1st Scout Master of Troop 170 in Keller....

He attended Castlebury, North Side High School, Texas Christian University, and University of Texas at Arlington. He served in World War II in the Navy and after, married Virginia Wallace.

He taught at Technical High School and worked for Bell Helicopter Textron 1952 - 1989. His community service included Keller Volunteer Fire Chief, Keller City Secretary, and 1st Scout Master of Troop 170 in Keller. Bill was an extraordinary genealogist, a loyal friend, neighbor, and long-time resident of Keller Texas.

He lived his life as a gentle loving example and patriarch for generations of his educated, hardworking posterity.

Survivors: 7 children - Linda Barnett, Ann Blevins, Jim May, Mary Kinman, John May, Paul May and Kathy White, 35 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, his sister Patsy Palmer, brothers-in-law Joe Palmer and George Wallace, 5 nieces and nephews-Greg Palmer, Judy Cagle, Jana Palmer, Nancy Sorke and Hamilton "Buck" Wallace.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia McPhail Wallace, his high school sweetheart, best friend and the love of his life.
