FORT WORTH -- Ray F. Ramsey, 93, was called home Tuesday, March 31, 2015.

Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the funeral home.

Memorial: Donations in honor of Ray Ramsey may be made to the mission program of North Richland Hills Baptist Church.

Ray was born in Pleasant Hill, La., and lived there throughout his school years. He attended Louisiana State University where he played trumpet in the band. In 1942, Ray moved to San Diego, Calif., to work for Consolidated Aircraft. One year later, he transferred to Fort Worth, beginning a career with General Dynamics that spanned 39 years. It was there he met the love of his life, Margie Maxine Maley Ramsey. Ray and Maxine celebrated 66 years of loving marriage and were blessed with two sons, Jesse and John. Ray was a great man who lived his life based on the principles of hard work, honor, honesty, integrity, trust, faith in God and love for his family.

Ray was a member of Richland Hills Baptist Church with current membership at North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Ray was a member of the Masonic Brotherhood for 70 years. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Shrine. He served on the 14th and 32nd degree teams of the Scottish Rite. Ray was a charter member of Masonic Lodge #1348 in Richland Hills.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Ramsey; one son, Jesse Ramsey; one granddaughter, Lexi Ramsey; father and mother, Jessie Ramsey
and Laverna Currie Ramsey; and brother, Harold "Moss" Ramsey.

Survivors: His youngest son, John Ramsey and his wife, Tamara; his sister, Wanda "Sissy" Ramsey O'Kelly; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
